ASIST Training - January 2026

  • Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network 6400 Imperial Drive Waco, TX, 76712 United States (map)

Join Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network’s LOSS Team for ASIST Training, a two-day workshop providing in-depth, hands-on training that helps you recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide and work with them to create a personalized safety plan. You’ll explore how attitudes toward suicide affect interventions and how to integrate prevention resources into your community.

This powerful training is an opportunity for anyone in our community (educators, healthcare professionals, faith leaders, and community members) to strengthen your skills in suicide prevention, intervention, and community support. These evidence-informed trainings are designed to equip participants with practical tools to recognize warning signs, offer help, and save lives.

This training emphasizes early intervention, compassionate communication, and connecting at-risk individuals to support and safety.

Training Details: January 13-14, 2026 @ 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network

Participants must attend both days to receive a certificate.

A suggested community donation of $75 helps cover the cost of materials for this two-day workshop.

Register online to attend this training. For questions or accommodation requests, please contact Katherine Clendennen, LOSS Team Coordinator.
