In partnership with Freedom Reins Counseling, Unbridled Equine Programs invites licensed mental health professionals to participate in a CEU-approved experiential training to explore the clinical integration of equine-assisted interventions.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
Describe the foundational components of a strengths-based, neuroscience-informed equine-assisted intervention model.
Explain the neurobiological basis of stress responses (fight | flight | freeze) and their impact on behavior and decision-making.
Identify how equine-assisted experiential activities support emotional regulation and relational awareness.
Evaluate appropriate clinical applications and referral considerations within scope of practice.
Integrate equine-assisted interventions into treatment planning as a complementary therapeutic modality.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This training is appropriate for clinicians seeking to expand their understanding of experiential and neuroscience-informed interventions and explore collaborative integration of equine-assisted services within outpatient, private practice, school-based, or community mental health settings.
This continuing education experience is designed for mental health professionals, including: LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, psychologists, associate-level clinicians under supervision, school counselors, and behavioral health professionals.
No prior experience with horses or equine-assisted therapy is required.
