Texas agencies such as the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) are currently under “Sunset Review,” a process through which the Texas Legislature evaluates the effectiveness of state agencies and boards. This is a valuable opportunity for your organization and other Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS) members to have your voice heard and drive positive changes to the agency and youth-serving prevention programs.
TNOYS is hosting Sunset Review listening sessions to hear input from providers. Our first session is specifically focused on FAYS, CYD, HOPES, and other prevention programs that are overseen by HHSC. Please register today to join us over Zoom on Monday, December 15, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Your input will help shape TNOYS’ recommendations to the Legislature’s Sunset Commission. We aim to hear from a range of providers on what is working and what is not working at HHSC as it relates to the prevention programs the agency oversees. No concerns are too big or too small to share. Please spread the word among your colleagues and networks!
This virtual meeting is just one of several virtual sessions we have scheduled to hear from providers during the Sunset Review process. You may use the registration form to register for this session and any others that may be relevant. Please email us at policy@tnoys.org if you have questions. We hope to see you there!
