Esther’s Closet, a local organization working to assist women who are entering (or re-entering) the workforce, is excited to announce a new professional development opportunity aimed at preparing participants for a career in banking.

 

What is Esther’s Closet?

The mission of Esther’s Closet is to advance women’s lives by providing professional clothing and workforce development skills for career advancement. Esther’s Closet provides resources and services for professional development, obtaining professional attire, resume writing, interviewing skills, and more!

About the Developing PRofessionals: Banking program

Esther’s Closet is excited to bring this new opportunity to our community in partnership with their program sponsors, Community Bank & Trust, Extraco Banks, Cadence Bank, South State, and TFNB.

This program is designed to prepare both women and men for careers in the financial realm through targeted training, job readiness workshops, and connections to employment opportunities with local banks. Together, Esther’s Closet and their banking sponsors are building a stronger pipeline into the financial industry and empowering women to step confidently into their future.

Kait Fedro

Kaitlin “Kait” Fedro is the System of Care Coordinator with Our Community Our Future, where she develops resources, programming, and collaborative tools to strengthen supports for youth and families across the Heart of Texas region. Her passion for this work is deeply rooted in her lived experience with a mental health disorder that began in early adolescence, her role as a mother to a young, neurodivergent child, and her background as an early childhood development professional. Outside of work, Kait enjoys reading with an extra-large cup of coffee and visiting favorite community spots with her family.
